  1. So, on our list is a standalone graph(s) /w compare ability that has a sticky link so you can pass it around. shouldnt be too hard to add that now that we have all the core tooling built and data input into system, but im glad you brought that up.
  2. I have design going now that is 5 cubic feet. Uses a pro 18 and a long throw single PR. this is about the max you can do in that volume but can work well if you have a high BL , low Q 18 that can drive the PR. With a pro amp you can get some serious SPL out of that size box with that set up. Adding ports just becomes too big and if you go sealed you spend a lot more on power and driver(s)
  3. Great price on this thing, really puts B&C in check there. My only gripe is, its more or less par for the field / meetoo product but at least they are undercutting the competition and driving price down. The 18" is really a bargain from PE right now, $340 :O
  4. Post that data! This is the platform for the new SVS ultra no? Is this a 15 or 16"? We need to get that new SVS sub. I'm dying to see how it does against the old one.
  5. 3 years, countless keyboard strokes, a lot of conversion work. But we got the new site up. We will add features to the new site over the coming months and bug fixes/ what not. Most importantly the new site is much more readable, we'll have better photos ongoing and its got better tools for comparing systems to each other. Each system has a compare bar at the top of the page where you can query up another system and see them together. I would really appropriate your feedback if you have any. https://data-bass.com old site remains for a bit longer https://legacy.data-bass.com Thanks!
  6. We will replace old site some time in the next 2 week. New one is here for reference (URL will change) https://prod.data-bass.com/#/
  7. indeed, thanks for the link too @Alexlel
  8. awe... maybe its a bassmaxx style where the driver is open on one side, other size is a horn. If thats the case, I can't see this 14Hz because of cancellation at long wavelength, but I don't really know
  9. Looks like a ported box, not a horn?
  10. T-nuts don't really seal well, even with a screw in there, its not perfect
  11. Ya, gonna be hard to guess at what that might be. Report back if they tell you anything. Good news about your replacement.
  12. u love it, don't lie But ya, if they created a 10Hz filter, its good game for everyone else.
  13. lol @ last line, either way, at least they are quiet
  14. Could be a leaking surround, you would be surprised what they sound like. A ticking noise is not out of the question here. I can't say anything for sure but I do know if there is not enough glue on the pro cloth style surround, it can permeate air. It can be fixed with more glue applied right on top with a brush. This might be the right stuff. I just did a quick google search so don't take my word for it! You need a little painters brush to apply on top. https://www.simplyspeakers.com/speaker-repair-adhesive-mi-1291.html
  15. Poor mans iTech 6000! But the new fascia for these amps looks super high end, much better than the nukes.
  16. On paper, that looks like incredible value. Did the inuke have DSP too? https://www.parts-express.com/behringer-nx6000-ultra-lightweight-class-d-6000w-power-amplifier--248-7014 Probably needs a silent fan mod like pretty much everyone else they make tho.
  17. Is the magnet the top ring or the lower ring? Is one of those rings steel? I'm confused. Both look HAF (Huge As ***) Seems like it would be the top ring as I understand the B&C driver is an overhung gap so that ring can't be a gap plate... too tall!
  18. Been almost 3 years in the making. Huge undertaking. Just finishing up the last few features but we're closing in!
  19. https://www.cnet.com/news/the-case-against-subwoofers-for-music/ (watch the video) I think there are 2 problems people let subwoofers exaggerate low end and more or less ruin music. The same can be said about headphone bass boost (mostly just sounds like crap) lots of music does not contain subsonic content or even low end audible bass. I don't fully agree we can omit a sub for all types of music, especially modern style music which often has subsonics, but then again, this is the right place to really find that out. We know movies need subs but which songs need it too?
  20. meanwhile, I have a wife and 2 kids that turn down my single 12" sub if the receiver goes past -28dB. **face palm** i hate you guys.
  21. I for one am firmly now under the philosophy of cutting up subwoofers into smaller ones and just using multiples. 2 single 18's vs 1 double, etc etc. or 3 12's vs one single 18 sorry, that does not help you here

Displacement can be leveraged from cone area so while the xmax is average, overall displacement is still pretty damn decent at 5 liters. Josh, what is the SPL@1 watt? 100dB? To put this into perspective, a 12" high excursion woofer needs an xmax of 50mm to match this, and it won't have anything close to 100dB @ 1 watt.
