More
Me too, I hope I find a bunch of good stuff. Just getting set up to test the 2000's and 3000's.

EndersShadow
Nice EP4000s! Got one of those myself I modded the fan on
More
Nice, They have been workhorses for me. I have all the flavors: 4000's, 2500's, and qsc 2450's. I bought one like that off of someone on here. I forgot that it had the slower fan in it, and I blew it up in about 20 mins. Oh well. Be careful with them if you listen to bass heavy music when they are modded, the stock fans will barely keep up for me. Without the fan mods mine run about 60-70F higher than ambient temp with music, I think 140+F is pushing it a bit. I'm kinda rough on my bass amps. But they keep chugging along. EndersShadow
My modded one has a step down converter so it can use a 12v Noctua fan. Fan is running full tilt but much quieter. if needed I can adjust it lower but I don’t find running it at 12v to have anywhere near a loud fan sound so I left it alone. It ran 4 of my JBL 1214s with ease for about a year. Its running my Mission 602 bookies in my garage right now and will eventually run a sub there instead... More
You can leave it, a double wow is perfectly appropriate. I think you have something that could handle one of those 7500 channels just fine.
dgage
Actually, since I primarily use the Speaker Power SP2-8000 amps, I was calculating the cost and came up to just under $40,000 if those were SP2-8000 amps. I have worked with the IPR2-7500 before and was pretty impressed with them. Not quite as powerful as the SpeakerPower but for half the cost, they were pretty close. Definitely a strong and powerful series of amps.
More
I wish they were a stack of SP2-8000's (12000's actually). But for 1/4 of the price.....
More
Let's see if this is enough to win the day today. It is a whole lot of win... Apparently it is
popalock
Luke hooked me up with one of the Peavey PVI Portable PA systems. I was actually trying to win one of the lots (Lot 39) with five (5) of them. If I could have won it with the price I had in mind, i was going to just gift them out to my more "social" friends for parties instead of suffering through them using one of those little JBL Flip Bluetooth speakers... Man! Glad I didn't win the lot. These things are WAYYYY bigger than I thought. I researched it and found it on Amazon here, but clearly didn't look at the dimensions... I mean, it's the size of a freakin suit case, rollers and all...lol. I'll probably bring it to our next outdoor party just to see how it works. I barely had a chance to blink and Luke had the item shipped to my doorstep. Dude, if the timing was a few months in the future I would totally scoop up 8 of those IPR-7500's from you... In the process of buying a house now...

More
Hey Popalock, Before the auction I saw that you asked people to save the lot of all in one pa's for you, I watched it sell and when I found out you didn't get it, I figured I'd just mail you one. Thanks for amusing me with your off the wall shenanigans over the years. I never looked at that lot again till now and didn't realize that there were a couple model lines of these all in one setups in the auction. I'm guessing you haven't seen it yet. I sent you an escort 3000, not the PVI, almost the same thing. This one has speaker stands with it. https://www.amazon.com/Peavey-Escort-3000-Complete-Speakers/dp/B00B8QC9O0/ If it makes you feel better, what you got does the same thing, is a couple pounds lighter, and costs more. oops Hope you put it to good use. I'm testing out an Escort 5000 right now. Everything works except for the RCA input. I think I need to re-flow one bad solder joint and that should work too. If i'm right, it will be up here later today. You could have the coolest suitcase on the block. Edit: It will take more than just that. Not listing it. Got everything to work except the rca's. oh well

LOL, nah, I'm not much for socializing on my block lol.... I just try to keep the bass low enough they dont know where its coming from, while also ensuring my walls flex inside the house.... I offered to handle the audio one night and took a pair of 24s with my JTR 212 speakers out to the cul de sac. People halfway up the street came out to explore the bass. It wasn’t even turned up loud but people were complaining about how loud it was, except for the kids. I figured out later that it was just a time for the adults to socialize and that the movies were secondarily...not with me handling the audio. Needless to say I haven’t been asked to host movie night again and everyone knows where the bass comes from. Luckily my house doesn’t leak much bass and there isn’t a house right next to my outside wall with the living room/theater.
EndersShadow
@dgage Id have the same problem. If t’s movie night, the goal is watching the movie as a group. you can talk before or after but NOT DURING! I’ve cranked my setup before and then left it running and walked around the outside of the house to see what you can (or can’t) hear. Like you house is sealed decently, and I’m only running 12 12s so it’s not as much surface area as a couple 24s, nor does it get as much SPL as a pair of 24s. Once I get things dialed in I may invite @Ricci up to Indy to get his opinion...

I wonder what my neighbors would think if I tried to do something like that? On the evening of July 4th and at Midnight on New Years, my neighbors shoot off fireworks. Those are louder than subs for sure, albeit for brief moments.
More
Fortunately, I know what my neighbors think about the bass. Nothing... Sometimes It's nice being in the middle of nowhere. Now if I could just get the pizza guy to drive all the way here... oh well. @dgage I love it, the previous and next week they probably had a little bluetooth speaker. Apparently they'd rather have that. I played the movie "9" for the 10yo nephews with the subs 16x 12's all the way up and mains down a bit. After it was over, one of them stood up and said, "That's what a movie is supposed to sound like! Why dosn't everyone do it like that?" I got a big grin. @Endersshadow , I think you're selling yourself a bit short. 12x 12's is about the same Sd as 3x 24's. But only the same Vd as 1x 24. You do realize you just said "only running 12x 12's" , right? LMAO this place will warp you... FYI everyone, feel free to post random or even pertinent stuff, don't worry about cluttering the thread up. It's all good.

Good to know..... but when your benchmark are things like "The Savoy" theater, or Mike (eng-399 on AVS) with 4 21's in 20cf boxes tuned low with another 6 15's nearfield tuned low...... its hard to think 12 12's is enough lol..... Although honestly...... I was warped before experiencing ANY of that lol.......
