3ll3d00d
I happened to notice these the other day - http://www.ficaraudio.com/product/q-series-q18neo/- though the description sounds much like the old (non neo) drivers any interest or do they just look quite funky? Ricci
The BTL Neo and perhaps the SP4 interest me the most. The SP4 seems to have lost a bit of motor force from the old version. The motors are a bit odd. I can see the sense from the standpoint of cooling the voice coils and ease / cost of manufacture but the motor design seems like it would be wasting potential magnetic flux through the gap. Couple of the pics appear to show huge coil/former/gap clearances too. I think they look cool or at least different, so there is that too, but they are deep as hell. I wonder why they didn't use neo on either of their 4" coil subs also. They got rid of most of the options it looks like too. No mention of shorting rings on any of the drivers i looked at. The BTL Neo is the one I'd like to investigate most out of their new stuff.
