Ricci
The measurements from the E110 and E112 JL subs are up now with some notes and commentary. It probably shows but I like these subs. An interesting comparison for just how much JL is squeezing out of the E112 driver is to compare it to the TC Sounds LMSR-12 sealed test which was roughly the same size enclosure. It's really close and I beat the crap out of that LMSR-12 driver for everything it was worth with the powersoft K10. It is no slouch. The E112 is neck and neck with it below 40Hz for the most part. You aren't going to get much more out of a sealed 12" with conventional driver technology.
MemX
Some nice flat graphs there I have read that the E subs match the older, more expensive JL subs with ease!
DS-21
Man, if only Jello put shorting rings in the motor (I suspect the flat FR is from EQ, like the Fathom) to extend the bandwidth up another octave or so....

Ricci
I talked with the head engineer on these a bit and they have no shorting ring. I am not sure if any of their drivers do. You can see a bit of inductance in the max output testing. It isn't as bad as you would normally see because the voice coil is only a 2" unit so that helps some. I suspect that yes there is some EQ going on up top in the FR as well.
Kyle
I know JL uses 2 layer coils on some of thier drivers which explains it. I'm not sure what the E drivers use, but I wouldn't be surprised
