Hi Ricci, thanks for your input. My first idea was to put some extra wood for fitting the grill. The ply is still untouched so changes can still be made in the plan (I'm the guy who like everything in perfect fit) Considering the size of the 21" and the steel baffles are already cut out and welded so I'll go for some extra wood for the grills to have a nice fit. I gladly like to post more pics but can't, there is not enough space to share files 🤔 Thanks for trying to solve this out.

What size of posted pictures do you recommend? I run out of storage when starting a new topic and posted some pics, why is the available space limited when I like to sharing files?

It's nice to have handy people around, helping me build some baffles in 3 mm of steel. Nuts should also be welded to hold up the B&C 21sw152-4 to the playwood baffle who sits in between the driver and the steel baffle.

In between the amp and each Othorn a 5 meter of 4x6mm3 cables are going to be used. The big size cables keeps up the damping factor of the amp. And I like to build my own cables.

I have now built my firs Othorn prototype and noticed that the front grill wont fill out the mouth perfectly. Would it make a difference if I make the total width of the following boxes smaller by less then 10 mm or 3/8". What will happen to the FR, compression, the -3dB point, delay time, cone excursions and output if I made this chance? Yeah, I badly need those grills 😎 See topic: More Othorns to come. We will made some parts in the cnc. Is it more preferable to cnc all parts? Could you help me to sort out the numbers in the picture. Have a look at sheet 4 in the lower corner, numbers are also unclear in the top right corner of the side panel.

Today's to-do is to calculate inches to millimeters. If you take a closer look at sheet 4 and sheet 5 there are some measurements typed too close to each other on the plan, could someone please tell me what it says.

Hey everyone, first I would like to thank you all members of this forum, you have inspired me to build myself some speakers. I also like to say, thank you Ricci for sharing the Othorn plan and giving all your support to me as a diy. As you probably know by now I will start to build Othorns to make my soundsystem complete. We are right in the beginning of this project, the speakers arrived today and the building start is not yet set. My goal with this build is to make the Othorns to look like the rest of the sound system. Please feel free to guide me through this project, ask for pictures if you like. I will gladly share this building project with you guys, you have giving me so much and I'll like to give something back in return. //Mattias

When you say driver access hatch, do you mean where the driver is mounted? Would it help to place a 2-3 milimeter thick metalring to be a part of the access hatch, having the cutout size of the driver and screw them together?

Thanks Ricci, in the end of this week me and a friend, who owns a cnc, will have a look at the plan. We will decide where to put handles and casters. I was reading that the bottom part of the Othorn, where the hatch panel is, is one of the Othorns weak spot. I was thinking to "solve" this to put a dolly at the bottom of the box. But would this effekt the sound in a bad way letting Othorn stand on the blue wheels while playing? Can't wait to fire those up ? /Mattias

I'm feeling abit confused right now about the Othorn plan, cos I was told I probably have an older version of the plan. Is there a V2 plan? A few days ago I ordered two 21SW152-4 so I would like the latest version of the Othorn plan. If anyone is interested to see some building pics I gladly share. The two finished Othorns will be powered each by a bridged Crown I-Tech 6000 Best regards /Mattias
