Dragon Blade...

actually ignore the previous comment, I have realised my mistake when creating the file I sent earlier (minor misalignment of fft bins). I have sent you a new filter which is now completely correct... I don't think there will be any meaningful impact on your graph btw but better to have a completely correct filter vs one that is not quite right :)

Thank you for all the help you and shredhead have given me...

I am really enjoying playing with Speclab.

I am now on a mission to duplicate the disc version to my MLP...this is so fun to do.

I couldn't have done this without your help.

Oh, and shredhead...I tried the new color scheme and it looks pretty cool !

Thanks for sharing

Here are 3 busy scenes in Dragon Blade...Do yourself a favor and get it!

Here is the UMM-6's response compared to a mic that is flat to 2Hz.  This is with no cal file loaded for the UMM-6 and it is not a mic that is calibrated from cross spectrum.  I don't know if C.S. provides boost for the low end to make up for it's rolloff internally or if they only rely on a calibration file.  Red is a flat mic and teal is the UMM-6:

There was a time that CSL DID in fact calibrate the umm-6. I got one during that time. Used it about twice and snapped the thing in half on about a 6inch drop. I glued the tube back on, and now it is out on loan, but yes, they did compensate for the low end on the calibration file...

Cool, I wonder how they do it.  It's weird/crappy that 6 inches broke the thing.  I think the loan period is up about now, don't you?  :)

Just seeing this thread for the first time.

Wow, excellent work! Must sound superb.

You're killing me with the Dragon Blade stuff. Here I am, starving for a ULF flick and you post one I have no chance of getting my hands on. I vow vengeance.

Thanks,

You got to get "Dragon Blade" one way or another...it is really insane the low end...I cannot find a movie or scene that matches it.

I can't wait to hear your impressions...

At worse I can send you the file?
